  • Agency for Toxic Substance and Disease Registry (ATSDR)
    The mission of the ATSDR is to prevent exposure and adverse human health effects and diminished quality of life associated with exposure to hazardous substances from waste sites, unplanned releases and other sources of pollution present in the environment. It provides access to information on the release of hazardous substances from Superfund sites or from emergency events and on the effects of hazardous substances on the health of human populations.

    Non-profit, nonpartisan professional organization that provides training, information and networking opportunities to 14,000 environmental professionals in 65 countries

  • American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists News and information for health professionals and health conscious women

  • American Lung Association
    National voluntary health organization that fights lung disease in all its forms with special emphasis on asthma, tobacco control and environmental health

  • American Public Health Association
    Resource for public health professionals

  • American Society for Reproductive Medicine
    Organization devoted to advancing knowledge and expertise in reproductive medicine and biology. It provides information for health professionals, the media and patients.

  • Birth Defects Monitoring Program, California
    A public health program devoted to finding causes of birth defects. It is funded through the California Dept. of Health Services and jointly operated with the March of Dimes.

  • Birth Defects Research for Children Inc. (BDRC)
    A nonprofit organization that provides parents with information about birth defects and support services. BDRC also sponsors the National Birth Defect Registry, a research project that studies associations between birth defects and exposures to radiation, medication, alcohol, smoking, chemicals, pesticides, lead, mercury, dioxin and other environmental toxins.

  • California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR)
    CDPR protects human health and the environment by regulating pesticide sales and use, and fostering reduced risk pest management. Its oversight includes product evaluation and registration, environmental monitoring, residue testing of fresh produce, local use enforcement through county agricultural commissioners.

  • California Environmental Health Tracking Program
    The goal of the CEHTP is to develop a comprehensive plan for a standards-based, coordinated, and integrated system, at the state level, that enables public health actions through linkage, monitoring, reporting, and communication of health effects and environmental hazards and exposure data.

  • California Environmental Protection Agency
    The mission is to improve environmental quality in order to protect public health, the welfare of our citizens, and California's natural resources. See Proposition 65, a list of compounds the Cal Epa considers to be reproductive or developmental toxins.

  • California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative
    The Collaborative's initial focus has been on the development of perinatal and neonatal outcomes and information, which allows for data driven performance improvement and benchmarking throughout California. CPQCC has developed a network of stakeholders, consisting of public and private obstetric and neonatal providers, health care purchasers, public health professionals and private sector health industry specialists

    The mission of the Center for Health Statistics (CHS) is to facilitate the collection, validation, statistical analysis, and dissemination of health data in support of the mission of the California Department of Health Services.

    The e.hormone web site, hosted and run by the Center for Bioenvironmental Research at Tulane/Xavier Universities, is a central conduit providing accurate, timely information and educational resources to keep our international audience at the cutting edge of environmental signaling research. The site is one part of the CBR's Environmental Signaling Network, a multifaceted program that aims to integrate the vast interdisciplinary signaling field by fostering communication and promoting scientific advancements.

EDF provides a database-backed website with comprehensive online summary of hazard identification conducted by numerous organizations and detailed chemical profiles for 6500 chemicals

  • Environmental Mutagen Society
    EMS is the primary scientific society fostering research on the basic mechanisms of mutagenesis as well as on the application of this knowledge in the field of genetic toxicology.

    The Environmental Working Group is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to using the power of information to protect human health and the environment.   • European network Teratology Information Services

  • Regional Perinatal Program of California
    The Regional Perinatal System (RPS) is a collaborative project of Children's Hospital, Sharp HealthCare and UCSD Medical Center and is funded by the California Department of Health, Maternal Child Health Branch. RPS serves as a nonpartisan liaison, consultant and resource for all perinatal providers in San Diego and Imperial Counties.
